Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year in Uzbekistan, entrance exams to universities will be organized according to the principle "first test, then choice".
This is provided for by the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan from 3 July.
Applicants will be given the opportunity to choose a university, direction and form of study based on the points they scored as a result of passing the exam.
Now applicants can choose up to five areas of study and a form of study on a grant or contract basis before testing.
Starting from the next academic year, certificates based on the results of international examinations in general subjects will be taken into account when entering state universities.
According to the decree, from the 2023/2024 academic year, written exams for applicants to academic lyceums are cancelled.
