Apple Distribution International Limited voluntarily paid a tax for US$59,200 to the state budget

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The corporation with the highest capitalization in history - Apple Distribution International Limited voluntarily registered in Uzbekistan as a VAT payer and paid a tax of US$59,200 to the state budget of the country based on the results of operations for the I quarter. This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Committee.

As previously reported, since 2020, the procedure for paying value added tax (VAT) has been introduced for foreign companies providing electronic services to individuals in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Through the VAT office of Internet companies, 10 foreign providers of electronic services in Uzbekistan have already registered today.

Earlier payment of VAT was made by Google Commerce Limited, a foreign company that also provides electronic services in Uzbekistan. Based on the results of operations for the first quarter of this year, the company paid 85 thousand euros.

In addition, Netflix International B.V., supplier of films and series based on streaming multimedia also paid VAT to the budget of Uzbekistan in the amount of 4,300 euros.

Voluntary registration and payment of taxes indicate that foreign companies respect the laws of the countries in which they provide their paid services.

The State Tax Committee will continue to inform taxpayers about the registration of foreign companies and their replenishment of the country’s budget.
