Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 September 2024, Tashkent hosted the 11th round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Egypt.

The delegations were led by Bakhramjon Aloev, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, and Ahmed Shaheen, Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Uzbek-Egyptian relations, noting the comprehensive partnership and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation. Special attention was given to the practical implementation of agreements reached during the high-level visit to Cairo in February 2023.

The mutual interest in realizing the significant potential for strengthening partnerships in political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres was confirmed.

Both sides expressed their readiness to take joint measures to effectively utilize the potential of economic diplomacy. It was noted that the recently held Uzbek-Egyptian Business Forum will elevate cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on supporting direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, increasing mutual tourist flows, and expanding ties in priority areas such as education, innovation, and healthcare.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on international and regional issues, as well as discussions on the schedule and agenda of upcoming joint events at various levels.
