Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Currently, another 30 modern garbage trucks are being prepared for shipment to the regions of Uzbekistan. These machines are assembled based on Japanese technologies and fully comply with European standards. They are designed to provide quality service to the population for many years.

It is worth noting that a number of works are being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of ecology, environmental protection and climate change.

In particular, in order to ensure the implementation of a number of resolutions and decrees signed by the head of our state, according to the principle of “zero waste”, 300 units of special equipment for waste collection with a total cost of US$24.9 million were purchased within the framework of the “Sustainable Municipal Solid Waste Management” project with the participation of the Asian Development Bank.

This special equipment is leased by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change to regional sanitary treatment enterprises for a long term with a grace period of one year. This, in turn, will help improve the operation of sanitary treatment plants, increase the volume of services to the population by 16% and promptly remove waste.

In addition, the purchased 30 units of ISUZU special equipment and collection equipment with a volume of 7 m³ with a total cost of 20.4 billion soums accounted for budget funds returned from payments allocated on the basis of the relevant agreement “On the provision of services in the field of household waste management.”

It should be noted that special equipment is assembled at the Samarkand Automobile Plant under the Japanese brand “Isuzu”. The quality level of the plant’s special equipment fully complies with European standards and is designed to provide quality service to the population for many years.

Currently, modern special equipment for waste removal is being delivered throughout the republic.
