Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2024, it is planned to purchase an additional 200 electric buses for the city of Tashkent, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reports.

Over the past 2023, rolling stock has been completely replaced with electric buses on 27 metropolitan public transport routes. The total length of the network of routes served by electric buses reaches more than 508 km.

The ministry notes that the renewal of the bus fleet has made the movement of passengers in the capital's public transport more comfortable.

Since the introduction of electric buses on routes, the volume of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere has decreased by 93.3 tons per month, which is a significant positive factor.
