Another 10 activities to be included in the list of activities that self-employed persons can engage in

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to reduce the share of informal employment and create a balance of labor resources based on modern approaches” was adopted.

According to the document, from 1 November 2022, the list of activities (works, services) that self-employed persons can engage in includes the following 10 types of activities:

- intermediary services in the markets of domestic animals (cattle, sheep, goats, horses and others);

- intermediary services in the car markets;

-provision of real estate services (assistance in the search for housing for rent, as well as the acquisition and alienation of housing);

-services of processing and sale of milk and dairy products at home;

- rent (hire) services of household products (tables and chairs, dishes, equipment, etc.);

- production of products from plaster and ganch (household utensils, sculptures of fairy-tale heroes);

- production of monuments, souvenirs and decorative items made of stone and stone products;

- weaving baskets, special containers for bread products and other wood products;

-growing cocoons at home, fruits, sprouts and seedlings of mulberries on personal plots of land, as well as weaving and selling silk fabrics and silk carpets at home;

- pottery.

From 1 January 2023, the minimum amount of social tax for individuals who are in labor relations with individual entrepreneurs is reduced from 50 percent of the basic estimated value per month to one basic estimated value per year (with the exception of individuals who are in labor relations with individual entrepreneurs operating in shopping malls and markets).

From 1 January 2023, citizens engaged in the following types of activities on their personal plots of land and once a year paying social tax in the amount of at least one times the size of the CRF are included in the category of the officially employed population and this period is included in their seniority:

- animal husbandry (cattle, sheep, goats, horses and others);

- greenhouse economy;

- poultry farming (quails, turkeys, geese, ducks);

- rabbit breeding;

-beekeeping;

- fish farming;

-gardening;

- lemon growing;

-floriculture.
