Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Andijan region continues efforts to develop its public transport system and improve passenger transportation services.

One of the key areas of focus is the renewal of the rolling stock, including the purchase of 100 electric buses. This will allow the city of Andijan to be equipped with modern, environmentally friendly transport and fully implement the gross contract system.

In this regard, a delegation consisting of representatives from the Andijan regional administration, the regional transport department, Uznaсbank, and potential entrepreneurs is currently visiting the People's Republic of China.

The delegation is holding negotiations with companies Lanzhou Guangtong Nev Energy Automobile Co., Ltd and Guangtong regarding the production, supply of electric buses, and other aspects of cooperation.

Work is also underway to conclude contracts, which will be an important step in modernizing the region's public transport system.
