Andijan Products Enter the U.S. Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Andijan region, led by Hokim Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, held a series of key meetings in New York with representatives of international and business organizations, including the Director of Programs at the renowned certification body WRAP and the Executive Director of the U.S.–Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce.

WRAP is the world’s largest independent certification organization, with over 3,000 factories across more than 40 countries certified under its standards.

Andijan holds a leading position in Uzbekistan’s textile industry. Currently, the region produces over US$1.2 billion worth of textile products annually, with more than 60% exported. The main markets remain Russia, Turkey, China, and European countries, while active efforts are underway to enter the U.S. market.

The discussions focused on strategies for introducing Andijan textile products to the American market, expanding sales through distributor networks, enhancing product quality to meet international standards, and building brand trust through WRAP certification. Opportunities for cooperation with major American investors and well-known brand companies were also explored.

Representatives of the U.S.–Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce emphasized that trade and economic ties between the two countries are steadily growing.

These meetings open new prospects for investment and international cooperation in Andijan, strengthening the position of Uzbek textile products as a recognized brand both in the U.S. and globally.
