An organization of students from Uzbekistan will be created in the UK

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of supporting Uzbek youth studying at universities in the UK and stimulating their active participation in public life in this country, the youth organization “Uzbekistan Students Union” (UzSU) will be created, Dunyo news agency reports.

This initiative, which is being implemented by a group of compatriot students with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, is aimed at uniting young people from our country studying at universities in the UK and creating a favorable and universal platform for their active participation in various fields of activity. Currently, more than 600 Uzbek students are studying at such prestigious universities in the UK as Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, the London School of Economics, and Imperial College London, including 120 through the El Yurt Umidi Foundation.

The Union will help strengthen ties between young people, promote their professional and personal development, as well as the development of cultural and educational exchange between Uzbekistan and the UK. In addition, the creation of an organization will provide students with the opportunity to effectively interact, exchange experience and knowledge, as well as protect their rights and interests.

The official launch of the Union will take place on 2 March in the building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London. As part of the event, invited students, divided into teams, will take part in the intellectual game “Zakovat”.

The creation of the Union reflects their desire not only to obtain quality education and professional development, but is also evidence of the increasingly active role of young people in popularizing the cultural heritage and increasing the recognition of Uzbekistan, developing and strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and the UK.
