Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An online meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan and the UN International Labor Organization (ILO) to discuss the creation of “green” jobs in Uzbekistan and improving the competencies of local experts in this field.

The ILO, the UN agency dedicated to social and economic justice through the setting of international labor standards, shared experiences and recommendations on promoting entrepreneurship and creating green jobs.

The meeting participants discussed strategies and plans for introducing environmentally sustainable jobs in Uzbekistan, as well as issues of training and advanced training of local specialists in this field.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation with the aim of widely introducing “green” jobs in the country and developing the professional skills of specialists in this field.
