Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Prosecutors began an investigation into the circumstances of the death of a pregnant woman in Akhangaran, Tashkent region. The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan announced this.

It is noted that the investigation is carried out comprehensively, with full coverage of all details and impartially. Depending on the results of the audit, an appropriate legal decision will be made.

On the night of 3 April, a 32-year-old pregnant woman in her 39th week went to the maternity ward of the hospital in Akhangaran with complaints of pain in the abdomen and back. She was diagnosed with third degree obesity.

Her condition worsened during the day and she faced difficulty breathing due to heart pain. The woman was immediately transferred to intensive care, where she received the necessary assistance. However, despite the efforts of doctors, she died.

The preliminary report of the medical examiner indicates that death was due to coronary artery disease, acute coronary insufficiency, myocardial hypertrophy and acute myocardial infarction.
