An extraordinary meeting of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry was held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An extraordinary meeting of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the topic "New Uzbekistan: new prospects for business and investment" was held today in Tashkent at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Countries was established in 2023 on the basis of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry. To date, the First meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Countries has been held. This Union of Chambers is an international platform created to develop relationships and cooperation between the countries of the Turkic world. To date, five countries are members of the Council ─ Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan. Hungary and Turkmenistan have observer status.

At the event, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev delivered a welcoming speech, during which he noted the importance of deepening interstate relations in all spheres of the economy, including trade, transport, energy, agriculture, industry, as well as the readiness of Uzbekistan to continue making contributions to further development and strengthening of cooperation between member countries and observers of the Organization of Turkic States.

Also speaking at the event were President of the Turkic Investment Fund Bagdad Amreev, Deputy Secretary General of the UTC Omer Kochaman, Chairman of the Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vahabov, President of the National Confederation of Organizations of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mammad Musaev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev, First Vice-President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Ali Korpuz, Advisor National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Murat Karimsakov and Head of the Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Kemal Veliyev.

The participants thanked the leadership of Uzbekistan on behalf of the entrepreneurs of the Turkic world for the favorable investment conditions created in the country in recent years for doing business.

The speakers also noted that as a result of consistent reforms in New Uzbekistan, ample opportunities have been created for the rapid development of business, the investment attractiveness of the country has sharply increased, and the number of enterprises with foreign capital has increased almost four times.

At the meeting, reports were heard from members of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the further development of trade, economic and business relations, strengthening bilateral and multilateral partnerships in the fields of trade, industry and entrepreneurship. The main directions of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry were discussed.

It was noted that the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry is an effective platform for expanding multilateral cooperation between member states, including trade, investment, transport, energy, tourism, cultural and humanitarian exchange.

Within the framework of the event, meetings of the business circles of the Turkic states in the B2B format were also held.
