Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 August 2019, an exhibition of a member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Professor Yanis Salpinkidi, was opened in the Skizza gallery of the Beit from Amuzar art center.

The event, organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, was attended by representatives of official and public circles of Israel, cultural and art workers, representatives of the Diaspora of Bukhara Jews, immigrants from Uzbekistan.

One of the initiators of the event, the head of the Skitsza gallery, an art historian, our former compatriot Marina Shelest, emphasized that the approximately 25 paintings presented at the exhibition, both in Uzbekistan and Israel, symbolize long-standing cultural and historical ties between the peoples of the two countries.

As noted, the exhibition of the Uzbek artist of this level is certainly one of the significant events of this year in the Uzbek-Israeli cooperation in the field of culture.

The curators of the gallery Marina Genkina and Marina Shelest, who visited Uzbekistan with two exhibition projects last year, noted the significant efforts of the government of the republic in the development of art and culture, including in the field of youth education: “We envied the beautiful exhibition spaces of Tashkent in a good way construction and restoration in the beautiful Bukhara and Samarkand. And the museums and exhibition halls visited by young people from the farthest corners of Uzbekistan made a huge impression on us. ”

In turn, Janis Salpinkidi himself, expressing gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to exhibit in Israel, said that his entire conscious life was connected with Uzbekistan, where he studied, and took place as a recognized artist and teacher. His talent as a painter and the merits of a teacher have recently been awarded the title of academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
