Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 October, the Exhibition of Uzbek-Chinese cultural exchange “Masterpieces of Nature of Uzbekistan and China”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the “One Belt – One Road” initiative, began its work at the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change together with the Academy of Arts, the State Museum of Art, the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan, Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited and Shanghai Construction Group JSC, hosted participation: Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov, UN Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili, representatives of ministries and departments of the republic, cultural and artistic figures, entrepreneurs, artists, teachers and students of art colleges and universities from China and Uzbekistan , media and others.

“Effective cooperative relations have been established between Uzbekistan and China in all areas. The “One Belt – One Road” initiative is a huge international platform that promotes the consistent development of Uzbek-Chinese relations and strategic partnerships in all areas, including industry, energy, infrastructure, transport, logistics, agriculture, tourism, education and others. Cultural exchange of experience is very important for Uzbek and Chinese artists,” said Aziz Abdukhakimov at the opening ceremony.

“Uzbekistan and China play an important role in the activities of the World Tourism Organization. In particular, the 25th anniversary session of the UNWTO General Assembly was recently held in Samarkand,” said Zurab Pololikashvili. “I am glad that relations between the two countries in the field of tourism are developing more and more. And today’s event is another important step in strengthening bilateral relations,” the Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili added.

At the event, the Secretary General of the Silk Road cultural tour Song Jianqin, the Secretary General of the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan Liu Yu, as well as a number of talented artists were awarded Tabiat Fidoisi badges.

The exhibition, which will be presented in Tashkent and Samarkand, includes 40 paintings by Chinese artists depicting the natural heritage of Uzbekistan.

To hold the exhibition in September of this year, plein paintings by experienced outstanding artists of the two countries were organized. As part of the events from 20 September to 5 October, 20 professional Chinese artists arrived in Tashkent to create works reflecting the natural heritage of Uzbekistan. During the plein airs, the artists visited the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions.

In turn, 20 artists from Uzbekistan visited the People’s Republic of China to create masterpieces reflecting the nature, traditions and sights of China.

The created works of art will be exhibited in prestigious museums and exhibition halls of Uzbekistan and China. It is also planned to create conditions for the acquisition of works of art by patrons and art connoisseurs.

As a result of the plein airs, unique creative works were selected for the exhibition among 80 paintings by Chinese artists.

Some of the paintings presented at the exhibition will be donated to the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Foundation.

All artists were awarded certificates from the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the end of the exhibition, on November 1, some of the paintings by Uzbek artists will be transferred to the Chinese government.

It is worth noting that the result of the project is the creation of a platform for the mutual exchange of experience between artists of the two countries, emphasizing the importance of artistic art in promoting tourism and ecology to a new level.

Reflection of the unique nature and sights of the two countries in the paintings of artists is a traditional value of the two peoples, which has not lost its force over the centuries.

Mutually beneficial projects for the development of various areas of art play an important role in the development of further cooperation between Uzbekistan and China. Of course, raising such a wide range of diverse ties to a new level is an important task in creating a third Renaissance on the path of development of New Uzbekistan.
