Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An accident occurred on 7 September at about 17:20 near the Foundry and Mechanical Plant. A Yutong bus carrying passengers crashed into a concrete pillar near the road. As a result, several people were injured, including the driver. This was reported by the press service of Toshshahartranshizmat.

According to reports, there were about two dozen people in the passenger compartment of the electric bus. It is noted that the cause of the incident was that the driver was forced to make a maneuver, as he was blocked by cars moving ahead in a continuous stream. However, in the end, the passenger transport crashed into a concrete pillar, located on the side of the road.

As a result of the accident, five passengers, along with the driver, were injured and were hospitalized in Tashkent clinics, where they received the necessary medical care. In addition, the electric bus received technical damage.

Currently, internal affairs officers are conducting investigations into the incident.
