An earthquake with an epicenter in Kyrgyzstan was felt in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake with an epicenter in Kyrgyzstan was recorded in Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.

According to the center, the earthquake occurred on 19 June at 17:09 Tashkent time.

Epicenter coordinates: 41.58 degrees north latitude; 71.21 degrees east longitude. The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.2, and its depth was 10 km.

The epicenter was located 170 km northeast of Tashkent.

The strength of the tremors in various regions of Uzbekistan was as follows:

  • Yangikurgan district: 2-3 points, 43 km from the epicenter.
  • Kasansay district: 2 points, 53 km from the epicenter.
  • Chust district: 2 points, 59 km from the epicenter.
