Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 December, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with the Chairman of the Board of the Russian Association of Retail Market Experts Andrey Karpov and the Vice President of OPORA RUSSIA, President of the Association of Small-Format Trade Vladlen Maksimov.
At the meeting, the Russian side proposed holding an analogue of the “Russian Retail Week” event in Uzbekistan as part of the “Central Asia Retail Week” event, with the participation of Uzbek manufacturing enterprises and exporters. This proposal is based on further increasing the export potential of Uzbekistan and establishing direct contacts with Russian exporters.
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov supported this proposal, expressing readiness to establish cooperation and create new opportunities for both parties.
As a result of the meeting, in the second quarter of 2024, it is planned to visit the Russian Federation by a delegation of more than 20 large exporting enterprises of Uzbekistan with the aim of developing trade and economic cooperation and exchanging experience between the business circles of the two countries.
