Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 December, an accident occurred on the main gas pipeline passing through the Polvontosh microdistrict of Bandikhan district of Surkhandarya region. This was reported by the press service of the regional khokimiyat.

In connection with the incident, from 6:30 am, the supply of natural gas to consumers in Termez, Bandikhan, Kizirik, Angora, Termez, Jarkurgan and Kumkurgan districts of the region was temporarily suspended, the Uztransgaz clarified.

The regional branch of the gas supply organization Hududgaz Surxondaryo is working to promptly eliminate the accident.

According to preliminary information, the restoration of natural gas supply is expected no earlier than in the evening after the completion of repair work.
