Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Now the cinematographers of Uzbekistan have the opportunity to nominate their films for the Academy Award, the largest and most important film award in the world.

To this end, at the initiative of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the Oscar Committee of Uzbekistan was established, registered by the US Film Academy.

In the near future, an event will be scheduled, where everyone will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the members of the Oscar Committee of Uzbekistan and with the filing system and the selection of films for the nomination for the Oscar Prize.

On 1 October, the Oscar Committee of Uzbekistan will nominate the film in the nomination “The Best International Feature Film” at the 92nd Oscar award ceremony, which will be held on 9 February 2020 in the city of Los Angeles at the famous Dolby Theater.

The coordinating center of the Uzbek Oscar Committee is the National Film Commission of Uzbekistan.

This goal was achieved thanks to the work of the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan at the film market in Cannes.

The Oscar Committee is open in almost 90 countries of the world, which now includes Uzbekistan.
