Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism, Sardor Niyazov, held talks with Prabir Roy, the CEO of International Relations at Global Business Travel Unit (Amex GBT) of the American financial company American Express, during their participation in the New York Travel and Adventure Show 2025 in New York.

For reference, Amex GBT is a leading travel management company based in New York, with around 18,000 employees in more than 140 countries. The company serves high-profile clients, including executives from major banks and private companies in the US and other countries.

During the talks, detailed information was presented about the extensive work carried out in recent years to organize high-quality tourist and excursion services in Uzbekistan and to increase the flow of tourists to the country. Special attention was given to the increase in the number of flight connections, the emergence of renowned hotel brands, the development of modern resorts, and the growth of the country’s gastronomic opportunities.

Prabir Roy noted that Uzbekistan represents a new destination with significant untapped potential for Amex GBT clients and expressed readiness for cooperation to capitalize on existing opportunities. As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached to begin active collaboration in this direction, as well as to implement the first steps involving airlines and tour operators.
