Enhancement of the Uzbek-Thai dialogue was discussed during the talks, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

It was noted that the both parties pay a great attention to intensification of trade, economic and investment relations. In 2011 bilateral trade volume reached $44.8 million, an improvement from the previous year. Active participation of business circles of the two countries at the recent business forum, held in Bangkok and Tashkent confirms the huge available potential for cooperation in this sphere.

Celebration of the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Thailand, within the frameworks of which Uzbekistan Days in Thailand were held on 8-10 May and Thailand days in Uzbekistan will be opened on 25 May, attests to the endeavour of our countries and nations to strengthen relations in all spheres, including cultural and humanitarian dimensions.

The parties exchanged views of topical regional and international issues as well during the meeting.
