All stages of loan allocation under government programs to be carried out on electronic platforms

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Resolution “On additional measures for the broad involvement of the population in small and medium-sized businesses” was adopted.

According to the Resolution, in 2024-2026:

Business Development Bank will increase the share of loans allocated to small businesses in the loan portfolio from 28 percent to 43 percent.

The bank will raise the financial resources up to US$800 million to finance small business projects.

Bonds (Eurobonds) of Business Development Bank will be issued on international capital markets in the amount of US$300 million.

The bank will help to organize activities of 150 thousand small businesses.

Entrepreneurship Development Company will increase the volume of financial services, provided to small and medium-sized businesses from 8 trillion soums to 14 trillion soums.

The company will have a share in 150 medium-sized enterprises and provide services to 300 projects of business entities on the basis of a mortgage.

The number of medium-sized businesses will be increased by 2.5 times.

Bonds (Eurobonds) of Entrepreneurship Development Company will be issued on international capital markets in the amount of US$300 million.

By 15 December  2023, targets for involving 2 million citizens in business in 2024, broken down by regions and areas of government programs, will be approved.

From 1 July 2024, in order to ensure the effective use of loans allocated under government programs, all stages of loan allocation will be carried out on electronic platforms.

From 1 January 2024 to 1 January 2026, small businesses created on the basis of cooperation with large enterprises with state participation will be allowed to sell goods produced by them with a total value of up to 10 billion soums within one year to government customers on a special public procurement information portal on based on direct contracts.
