All set for second phase

The 2012 London Olympics men’s football tournament Asian qualifiers will enter the second phase with a draw to be held at the AFC House on March 30.
Eleven teams, who have qualified from Round 1, will join the 13 direct entrants into the second round.
Kuwait, Thailand, Oman, UAE, Iran, Malaysia, Yemen, Hong Kong, Jordan, India and Turkmenistan have won their respective first round encounters while Korea Republic, Australia, China, Japan, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, DPR Korea, Syria, Lebanon, Uzbekistan and Vietnam were given direct entry in the second round.
The 24 teams have been ranked on the basis of Asian qualifiers and final round of 2008 Beijing Olympics men’s football tournament.
The teams will be divided into 12 groups and will play home-and-away on June 19 and June 23.
