Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Alisher Kadyrov, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and leader of the Milliy Tiklanish party, made a proposal to popularize Father’s Day in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the importance of preserving and respecting the role of fathers in the family and society.

Kadyrov expressed concern about the trend in recent years, when men are forced out of family life, their images are associated with negative stereotypes. He noted that such practices call into question the honor and dignity of men, which affects the integrity and stability of the family institution.

In the context of a discussion of family relationships and the role of fathers, Kadyrov expressed his opinion on the need for balance and respect for the thousand-year-old values inherent in Uzbek culture. He emphasized that the main values of Uzbek society are morality, caring for the family and enlightenment.

The MP also proposed an initiative to provide paid maternity leave to women participating in child-rearing training.

This proposal aims to support mothers and family stability.

Alisher Kadyrov noted the importance of popularizing Father’s Day as a serious political and social event that can strengthen family ties and support the national progress of Uzbekistan.
