Golfnews reported that Al Wasl, coached by Diego Maradona, is searching for Asian striker to fill quota of the Asian player, allocated by the AFC and UAE league. In line with rules, the clubs can register three foreign and one Asian players.
The publication wrote that the club is interesting in strikers from Kuwait and Uzbekistan. Golfnews reported quoting Uzbekistan international midfielder Aziz Khaydarov, playing for Shabab Al Arabi, that the club is interested in Aleksander Geinrikh. Geinrikh currently plays for South Korea’s Suwong on loan.
The report said that there are a few names on the table but nothing is confirmed yet. The club is looking at a Kuwaiti and an Uzbeki player but nothing is concrete. Things should be finalised within the next few days. Transfer window will close in the end of October.
