Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Akmal Rasulov was appointed to the position of head of the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the city of Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.
Prior to his last appointment, he served as deputy head of the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the city of Tashkent.
Earlier, it was announced that an internal audit would be carried out against the previous head of the department, Farhod Dekhkanov. He was suspended from office from 30 December to 1 February.
The Ministry of Ecology also limited the powers of the Tashkent City Ecology Department until 1 February due to violation of the moratorium on tree cutting and numerous complaints from residents about this process.
