Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Preliminary stages of construction of a new dry cement plant with the capacity of 3 million tons of cement a year were completed on the basis of Akhangarancement (part of the EUROCEMENT group holding).
Construction is moving into an active phase, the construction site is ready for large-scale works. At the same time, production at the existing capacities of the plant will continue in full volume, which allows to provide consumers with high quality cement.
For stable operation of both operating and under construction enterprises, Akhangarancement updates its energy infrastructure. So, a new generation substation was installed for the existing technological line, the construction of a substation for future plant began. The transport system is being modernized, including the construction of an access road and the creation of a customs warehouse to optimize the logistics of cargo delivery.
The construction site is freed from underground communications, dismantling of unsuitable structures on the territory, infrastructure is set up, special equipment is delivered. After a comprehensive survey of the pile field, the development of a foundation pit for future construction began, the foundations will be flooded in the fall of 2018. The peak of construction work will be in 2019, and the completion of construction and commissioning is planned for mid-2020.
The new plant will become the largest cement enterprise in Central Asia and will be equipped with high-tech equipment mainly from European manufacturers. The choice as a contractor of the CNBM industrial group - the world leader in the field of cement engineering and cement production - will allow EUROCEMENT group to create one of the most efficient and modern enterprises of the world cement industry in Uzbekistan.
The signing of the contract between Akhangarancement and Beijing Triumph International Engineering Co. (part of the CNBM industrial group, PRC) took place in autumn 2017. The contract value is 150 million US dollars.
The implementation of the project will help expand production of competitive products, reduce the energy intensity of the economy, introduce progressive energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies.
