Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 December, the domestic airline Air Samarkand performed its first landmark demonstration flight on board an Airbus A330 aircraft on the route Samarkand - Tashkent - Samarkand. 

The crew and representatives of the airline were solemnly greeted by the management of Uzbekistan Airports, and the aircraft, according to tradition, was greeted by a water arch.

The purpose of the flight was to check the performance of the flight and cabin crew, as well as to ensure that all requirements and procedures were met before the start of passenger transportation.

It is worth noting that the day before the airline received an operator certificate from the Civil Aviation Agency of Uzbekistan.

Air Samarkand is a Uzbek airline based at Samarkand International Airport. Founded in April 2022. The airline's fleet consists of modern aircraft such as Airbus A330, A320 and A321.
