Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Air Arabia plane from Abu Dhabi landed at Tashkent International Airport on 7 December, marking the opening of direct flights between the two cities. A press conference was timed to coincide with the launch of the first flight, with the participation of the Executive Director of the Air Arabia group of companies, Mr. Adel Al Ali.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent and thank our partners for their support. Our goal is to connect people and make travel affordable. Increasing the number of flights and destinations between our countries will be an important step for the development of tourism, trade and business activity. Now there are flights to Sharjah six times a week, now two flights to Abu Dhabi are being added. In every country where we operate, we strive to provide at least daily flights. This will increase mobility and create more options for our potential passengers,” said Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali.

“Air Arabia has been our partner since 2020. Gradually, the frequency of flights increased. In November this year, we opened flights from Namangan to Sharjah. Today we are opening a new direction - Abu Dhabi - Tashkent - Abu Dhabi. This is a very important event for both us and the airline. This is confirmed by the visit of a guest of such a high level - Mr. Adel Al Ali. We welcome new airlines and try to create the most comfortable conditions for them and favorable fares for flights to Uzbekistan,” said Bokhodir Mirusmanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports.

Passenger flights on the route Abu Dhabi - Tashkent - Abu Dhabi will be carried out on a regular basis on Wednesdays and Saturdays on comfortable Airbus-320 aircraft. Recall that at the end of November, Air Arabia launched regular flights between Sharjah and Namangan.
