Ahbor-Reyting updates crediting rating to Sarbon credit union
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ahbor-Reyting, national rating agency of Uzbekistan, updated credit rating of Sarbon credit union up to uzA level in line with the national scale and raised outlook to positive.

Assigned rating to Sarbon credit union means high level of solvency, reflecting low level of credit risks in its activities. Ability of the credit union to fulfill its financial liabilities fully and timely is high.

Sarbon is relatively young credit union and works in local financial market for two years. At the same time, the credit union had positive financial results during its operation years. In 2010, Sarbon improved its profitability of its activities due to the growth of business scale and effectiveness figures.

At the end of 2010, the credit union has 657 members, including 8 legal entities and 649 individuals. The rating agency said that intention of the union to expand its business geographically can help it to increase number of members.

In 2010, net interest income of Sarbon credit unions made up 413.4 million soums and it rose 2.7 times year-on-year. Simultaneously, profitability on loans made up 38.75%. At the same time, average interest rate on loans was at the level of 44%.

Sarbon credit union supports acceptable level of transparency of its activity. Sarbon has its own website and provides information on its activities, including financial results.

In order to ensure sustainable functioning of the credit union, total size of formed capital made up at least 15% of its total assets. The capitalization of Sarbon, taking into account fast growth of business scale, evaluated as acceptable.

As of 31 December 2010, aggregate capital of Sarbon credit union made up 439.9 million soums. It is worth to mention that the achieved figures in 2010 fully meat normative requirements of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. Taking into account, Ahbor-Reyting believes that Sarbon will further support figures of its activity in acceptable high level.
