According to him, share of Ahangarancement in total volume of cement production of Uzbekistan in the reporting period made up 22.86%. In January-September 2012, Uzbekistan produced some 5.2 million tonnes of cement.

Second largest producer of cement in Uzbekistan exported 229,600 tonnes of cement in nine months of 2012, which decreased by 15% year-on-year.

Decrease of exports is connected with launch of new cement plants in Kazakhstan, which created strong competition in this market.

Share of Ahangarancement in total exports of Uzbek cement plants made up 37%, the company’s representative said.

He said that Ahangarancement is planning to export 260,000 tonnes of cement in 2012.

He added that the company used investments for 44.3 billion soums between 2005 and 2012, of which 4.5 billion fell to share of 2012.

Ahangarancement open joint stock company was founded in 1961. Its total capacity makes up 1.736 million tonnes a year. From July 2006, it is part of Eurocement (Russia). The plant produces several types of cement.
