Agriculture production makes up 957.9bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan’s agriculture production made up 957.9 billion soums in the first quarter of 2009 or increased by 5.7% year-on-year.
Output of plant-growing was 139.8 billion soums or 3% year-on-year. Animal husbandry production comprised 818.1 billion soums (6.2%).
Dekhan farms produced 90.7% of total agriculture output of Uzbekistan in the reporting period, which is 0.3 percentage point less compared to the same period of 2008.
Private farms and agriculture enterprises produced 4.8% and 4.5% of agriculture output respectively.
