Agricultural producers to be reimbursed part of the costs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, amendments and additions were made to certain decisions of the Government of Uzbekistan aimed at supporting agricultural producers, as well as improving the mechanism for providing subsidies, Norma reports.

Amendments are being made to some documents in accordance with the resolution of the President of “On additional measures to further support the activities of raw cotton producers”, providing that the following are covered from the State budget:

30% of the cost of automated land-planning units with a laser system purchased by agricultural producers, imported from abroad and produced in the republic;

a share of up to 50% of the cost of electricity used to irrigate the areas of cultivation of raw cotton through pumps.

Appropriate amendments and additions are made to the Regulations on the procedure for allocating subsidies from the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan to cover the cost of electricity consumed by pumping units and irrigation wells of farms, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. 

At the same time, the collection of information and materials, their consideration and coordination with the competent authorities and organizations for the allocation of subsidies to consumers is carried out through the unified information system "Agrosubsidy".

The new version approved the Regulations on the procedure for the implementation of state support for the mechanization of agriculture (approved by the DCM dated November 26, 2019 No. 952).

Subsidies for new agricultural machinery and equipment are allocated for a period of one year from the date of purchase (from the date of the invoice) according to the submitted application.
