Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of the strategy "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030" and measures for its effective implementation", the task was set to increase digital literacy and qualifications of employees of khokimiyats, state bodies and organizations in the regions, teach them the basics of information technology and information security, the Ministry of Information Technologies reports.

With this in mind, courses were organized for employees of the Ministries of Agriculture and Water Resources in Khorezm region on the implementation of digital technologies in this industry.

The training courses have been held since 9 November at the branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi in the city of Urgench. About 200 specialists in agriculture and water management improve their skills there.

The training courses are prepared based on the specifics of the activities of organizations operating within the framework of the ministries of agriculture and water resources. This, in turn, makes it possible to increase their efficiency and content.

During the training course, students were given information on the implementation of modern information and digital technologies in agriculture and water management, in particular, on the systems "smart agriculture", "smart water management", monitoring water consumption, remote monitoring of arable land and the implementation of other innovative systems in this direction.
