Reconstruction envisaged technological re-equipment of flotation department of 10-12 section of copper-concentration plant through introduction of large equipment, Prime Tass reported.

In the result of modernization, the enterprise will increase ore flotation by 3.2 million tonnes to 20 million tonnes, while level of extraction of copper concentrate will grow by 1.5%. The project was implemented within six months.

The project was financed due to loan of Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan for US$13 million and own resources of AGMK for US$5.2 million.

The reconstruction was aimed at improving technologies and decreasing production expenses. Replacement of old equipment, produced in mid 1970s, will decrease energy and reagents consumption, and increase extraction of products from ores.
