Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK) exported manufactured products totaling US$645.4 million, the company’s press service reports.

In particular, during the reporting period, 55,175 tons of copper products worth US$453.3 million were exported. Some 41,007 tons of zinc products worth US$109.6 million were also supplied abroad.

About 813 tons of molybdenum products worth US$46.4 million were supplied to foreign consumers.

In addition, 4,842 tons of copper sulfate worth US$10.2 million were exported. Other types of products worth US$25.9 million were also exported.

AGMK products are exported to more than 20 countries. Its geography is expanding from year to year. In particular, new markets for the export of copper sulfate have been developed this year. These are Mexico and Finland. Factors for the export of these products are their full compliance with international standards and the introduction of quality certificates.

It is also worth noting that copper wire rod, which is a high value-added product, was sold in the United States for US$22.8 million.
