Aggregate capital of Uzbekistani commercial bank reaches 4.1bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Aggregate capital of commercial banks of Uzbekistan grew by 36% year-on-year and made up 4.1 trillion soums in 2010. This was announced at the expanded session of the Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan dedicated to the results of the banking system in 2010.

At the same time, capital adequacy level of the bank exceeds 23%, which exceeds international standards, set by Basel Committee, three times.

In the reporting period, total assets of the commercial bank rose by 3.21% and made up 20.739 trillion soums.

As of 1 January 2011, total volume of loans, issued to real sector of economy, reached over 11.539 trillion soums, which is up 35% year-on-year. At the same time, share of loans, issued for over 3 years, in total loan portfolio made up 75.2%.

In 2010, the volume of loans, issued to small businesses and private entrepreneurship, rose 1.4 times year-on-year to 2.7 trillion soums, while microloans grew 1.5 times to 485 billion soums.

The volume of deposits of population at banks grew by 52.6% to 4.446 trillion soums.

Currently, over 7.9 million banking payment cards are in circulation in Uzbekistan. According to the Central Bank, number of installed POS-terminals and ATMs reached 85741.
