Aggregate capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan to increase by 490bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Aggregate capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan, according to forecasts approved by the Uzbek President Islam Karimov, will increase by 490 billion soums in 2010.

President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On measures on further improving financial sustainability and strengthening of investment activity of the banking system” from 6 April 2010, which approved projected parameters of increasing aggregate capital of commercial banks.

According to projections, Asaka Bank will increase its aggrage capital by 85.7 billion soums in 2010, while Qishloq Qurilish Bank – by 60.5 billion soums.

Uzpromstroybank will direct 50.1 billion soums to increase its capital, while Agrobank’s capital will rose by 47.1 billion soums.

Total capital of Microcreditbank and People’s Bank will increase by 38.5 billion soums and 34.3 billion soums respectively.

In line with the document, Ipoteka Bank and Aloqabank will increase their aggregate capital by 35 billion soums and 15 billion soums respectively, while Bank Ipak Yuli – by 8 billion soums.

Other 20 banks of Uzbekistan will direct 114.8 billion soums to raise their aggregate capital, the document said.
