The Uzbek leader underlined that the country ensured further strengthening of the banking system, increasing of the capitalization level and expanding investment activities of the banks.

He said that the aggregate capital of the banking system rose by 23.3% year-on-year in 2015 and reached 7.8 trillion soums.

Islam Karimov noted that in last five years, the figure rose by 2.4 times. The level of capital adequacy of the banking system rose almost 24%, which is 3 times higher than international standards, its liquidity exceeds international standards twice.
