Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced plans to appoint transport attaches in several neighboring and regional countries.

According to media reports, the new representatives will be stationed in Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.

The Afghan side emphasized that the main goal of this initiative is to facilitate trade, simplify transit procedures, and expand opportunities for Afghan entrepreneurs in international markets.

Afghanistan heavily relies on road transport through neighboring states to ensure imports and exports. In this context, trade corridors and regional agreements are viewed as key tools for integrating the country into the global economy and boosting its export potential.
