Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has appointed a new ambassador to Uzbekistan, as announced by Zakir Jalali, a representative of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Jalali, who serves as the Director of the Third Political Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, stated that Abdul Ghaffar Tirawi has been appointed as Afghanistan’s ambassador to Uzbekistan.

According to him, both sides have reached an agreement on this matter.

The newly appointed ambassador is expected to assume his duties in Tashkent soon.
