AeroSvit to launch a new flight to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines will commence operating flights between Kiev and Tashkent – the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Central Asia's largest city in terms of population.

The flights to Uzbekistan's capital will be operated twice a week – on Thursdays and Saturdays. Return flights will be operated on Fridays and Sundays. Embraer 195 and Boeing 737 aircraft will be operated on the route.

Besides, via its base airport Borispol (Kiev) AeroSvit will carry passengers to Tashkent from Ukraine’s regional centers and from the majority of its foreign destinations, including the cities of Russia, Transcaucasia, Central, North and South Europe, East Mediterranian and North America.

On Thursdays and Saturdays flights will depart from Kiev at 10:30 p.m. and arrive to Tashkent at 6:00 a.m. (local time) on the next day (local time). On Fridays and Sundays flights will depart from Tashkent at 07:20 a.m. (local time) and arrive to Kiev at 9:25 a.m. (local time).

Tashkent - the capital of - is a megalopolis with the population of over 2.5 million people. It is the country's largest political, economic, cultural and scientific center with more than 2000 years of history.

The tourists are attracted by the capital’s unique architectural and historical pieces as well as by world-known towns of Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva – key points of the Great Silk Road. Extreme tourism fans are also interested in ski resorts in Chimgan mountains, located 80 kilometers from Tashkent.

Anton Mattis, First Deputy Director-General of AeroSvit, said: “We consider Tashkent as one of key points in Central Asian sector in our flights’ network. We consider to attract new business and tourist inflow from Ukraine and other regions, where AeroSvit flies.”

AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines, established in 1994, at present operates the largest network (among other Ukrainian carriers) of scheduled international flights. As of summer season 2010 AeroSvit is operating over 70 international air routes, including 5 transcontinental flights to Beijing, New York, Toronto, Delhi and Bangkok. Besides, an extensive domestic network connecting Uzbekistan's largest regional administrative centers with Kiev is operated by AeroSvit.

Jointly with its partners AeroSvit operates Boeing 737, Boeing 767, Airbus 320, Embraer 145, Embraer 195 and Antonov 148 aircraft.
