Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Admission to Grade 1 of public general schools for the 2023-2024 academic year to begin on 20 June.

According to the established procedure, admission processes for grade 1 are carried out in 2 stages.

1st stage: within micro-regions (from 20 June to 31 July)

2nd stage: outside the micro-regions (from 1-15 August)

According to the press service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, in 43 districts (cities) admission processes to grade 1 are carried out through public services in electronic form.

In this case, from 12:00 on 20 June, parents must register and apply through the my.maktab.uz electronic platform.

In other regions, admission to the 1st grade will take place directly in schools in the traditional form, through the electronic system of the ministry (adm.maktab.uz).

In the 2023-2024 academic year, it is planned to enroll more than 730,000 children in the 1st grade across the country.

In accordance with the Law on Education (Article 9), children are admitted to school in the year they turn 7 years old. That is, this year, children born between 1 January and 31 December 2016 will be admitted to the 1st grade of the schools.
