Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A training session organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) office in Uzbekistan commenced today, focusing on "Developing Migration Policy Based on Gender Equality and Human Rights in Uzbekistan."

The training will last for four days. The primary objective of this event is to provide members of the working group, established under the Senate to develop Uzbekistan’s migration strategy, with information on international standards and the experiences of other countries. This working group includes representatives from various ministries and agencies.

This event is particularly significant as it aims to implement the tasks outlined in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 4 April 2024 "On Additional Measures to Improve Labor Migration Processes and Support Persons Engaged in Temporary Work Abroad."
