Abramov says South Korea match was more attractive
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national and Olympic teams started their first training camp in 2012. Almost in all January, the teams will prepare to officials matches, including the FIFA 2014 World Cup and 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers.

Uzbekistan coach Vadim Abramov invited 30 players to camp, including 10 representatives of national team and 20 players of Olympic team.

There are several reasons for these. First, Uzbekistan Olympic team will play against Australia on 5 February within the 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers. Second, Uzbekistan national team moved to the fourth qualification round of the FIFA 2014 World Cup and seven players will miss Japan match due to suspensions.

Abramov plans to use players of Olympic team in these two matches, while some senior squad members will assist them in Japan match.

Vadim Abramov said that Uzbekistan was planning to play Thailand on 24 February, but later Uzbekistan received offer from South Korea, which was more attractive. He said Uzbekistan will play Iraq on 22 February in Iraq and logistic problems could create problems. While, Uzbekistan will play with South Korea on 25 February and it will head to Japan, which is easier.

Uzbekistan coach said that South Korea could be opponent of Uzbekistan in next stage of World Cup qualifiers and it would be interesting to play with them.

Speaking about suspensions, Abramov said that Olympic team has many good players, who can compete for place in national team. Besides, he added, playing with experienced players, Olympic team can learn a lot. He said that doors of national team are open for all, but players should show good performance.

Vadim Abramov said Uzbekistan received invitation to international tournament Match World Cup 2012 and he accepted it with delight. He said that Uzbekistan will also play a friendly match against the UAE.
