The freight turnover was 62.2 billion tonnes-km and has exceeded the level of January- September 2011 by 7.9%, the committee said.
Some 890.8 million tonnes of freights were carried by motor transport, which is 4.9% more than in January-September 2011. The freight turnover has increased by 5.4% to 19.5 billion tonnes-km.
The freight turnover of motor transport of individual entrepreneurs has exceeded the level of January-September 2011 by 8.3% and reached 14.5 billion tonnes-km. The share of private carriers in total freight turnover of motor transport was 74.4% against 72.4% in January-September 2011.
About 18,000 tonnes of freights were carried by air transport, which is 26.4% lower than in January-September 2011. The freight turnover has decreased by 26% to 92.2 million tonnes-km.
The freight turnover of main pipelines has increased by 13.5% and made up 25.4 billion tonnes-km.
