Women’s Council added that the campaign was held in Nukus, Karakalpakstan, on 19-20 November and some 614 women, who serve in Armed Forces, and wives of officers were diagnosed for breast cancer. They were examined by mammalogists, cancer gynaecologists, and ultrasound specialists.

During two days, mammalogists consulted 239 women and psychologist talked with 115 women, while cancer gynaecologists examined 119 women, and ultrasound specialists diagnosed 141 women.

In the result of inspection, one case of breast cancer suspension, four cases of breast cancer fibroadenoma, one case of soft tissues’ fibrolipoma, and one case of ovarian carcinoma were revealed.

Along with examination, the doctors carried out polls on knowledge of women about breast cancer and taught them on diagnosing breast and disseminated booklets about breast cancer.
