The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that Europe and Asia accounted about 97.5% of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in the reporting period.
Share of these continents in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover decreased from 97.7% in 2010 to 97.5% in 2011.
The committee stated that share of Europe in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan decreased from 54% in January-December 2010 to 53.5% in 2011. At the same time, the share of Asia rose from 43.7% to 44%.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, share of American continent rose from 2.1% in 2010 to 2.3% in 2011. Share of Africa remained at the level of 0.2% and Australia and Oceania –0%.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan increased by 15% year-on-year in 2011 and reached US$25.537 billion. The committee noted that foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries made up US$11.11 billion, and with other countries – US$14.427 billion.
