Uzbek leader said that due to launch of over 500 new base stations of mobile communication, number of subscribers of modern high technologic communication system reached almost 20 million people, while the volume of rendered services to them grew almost by 26%.

President Islam Karimov said that number of internet users is increasing each year. Currently, over 10.2 million people use internet in Uzbekistan or one third of population, he added.

He underlined that the capacity of Internet rose four times, while speed rose 1.5 times. The cost of Internet fell 11.6% in 2014, Karimov said.
