Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Samarkand Initiative of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make a worthy contribution to shaping global dialogue. This was stated by the Special Representative of the President for Foreign Affairs at the UN headquarters during a briefing dedicated to the speech of the head of Uzbekistan at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

According to him, the implementation of the Samarkand Initiative through the organization of regular forums on key issues of the common agenda will make a significant contribution to shaping global dialogue, finding coordinated approaches and solutions, restoring trust, and reducing global tension.

Today, more than ever, trust and mutual understanding are extremely in demand, the ability of states to resolve conflicts based on coordinated and compromise approaches.

As Abdulaziz Kamilov reminded, in these conditions, the President of Uzbekistan back in 2022 put forward the "Samarkand Initiative of Solidarity for the Sake of Common Security and Prosperity." Its essence lies precisely in initiating a dialogue for the joint solution of regional and global problems.
